The idea
A distant future is easy to discuss in abstract words: fulfilled, successful, healthier, calmer. Those words rarely change what happens tonight. Write Ten Years asks for concrete details instead: what keeps repeating, when it happens, what the habit gives you now, what makes change difficult, and what you do not want to lose.
The product then keeps the starting conditions as similar as possible and changes one repeated behavior. The goal is to make accumulation visible without pretending that a life can be forecast.
What the name means
“Write Ten Years” has two meanings. You write toward a future self, and that future self writes back. Ten years creates enough distance to reveal compounding, but the experience ends with an action small enough to attempt today.
